Welcome Back to the New School Year!
Gallup-McKinley County Schools is excited to kick off another year of learning, growth, and community.
Students, we can't wait to see you on August 5th for the first day of school!
Before that, we're welcoming our staff back: 194-day staff return on August 3rd, and 192-day staff return on August 4th. We're glad to have you back and ready to make this year a great one for our students.

Lincoln FAMILY!!!!! Next week is our last FAN Night. Please join us for a community car show, summer reader distribution, NEHS community presentation and fun yard games and food from 5-7PM. Depending on the amount of cars in the car show, parking will be limited and we may have to use surrounding streets to park. We are expecting all of our wonderful families to attend. See you then!

Due to New Mexico State statutes and New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) requirements, Gallup‑McKinley County Schools (GMCS) students’ last day of school is June 10, 2026.
Lincoln FAMILY!!!! FAN Night is May 28th from 5-7PM, and we want all families to attend. We will have a fun car show, block party style games, food, summer reader distribution and Nation Elementary Honor Society community project presentation.

Please send your student to school with encouraging messages like "Do your best on the Test" or "Show what you know". Please keep in mind students should get a good nights rest. State testing (NM-MSSA) will take place 4/13 to 4/16. Parents thank you for encouraging and supporting your student daily!
